install sendmail 8.12.3 on hp/ux ia64

Hello,
we've to install the sendmail 8.12.3 version on a hp/ux ia64 machine. Does anyone know this is supported by HP or not?

8.12.3 is not mentioned but if from sendmail.org should work

Non supported = own risk

thanx for the answer. I think is not a good idea to install non supported software.
Is there any information when 8.13 is comming?

Sir,

We have been advocating that HP release depot files on sendmail 8.12 for many months.

I even signed up to do beta tests last summer on a release that seemed to evaporate with my summer tan.

You will need to uninstall the sendmail that installed with the os before you try and install 8.12.

swlist -l | grep -i sendamil

swremove

Now you can compile and install sendmail according to the instructions at the http://www.sendmail.org website.

I recommend 8.11 and remaining on a release that HP will support.
