PCI Soft Data Fax Modem

Have a HP Media Centre PC m7760m desktop which comes with PCI Soft Data Fax Modem. The OS is Vista Home Premium.
Of late I am dealing with companies demanding fax not email, I could not find any software on the computer that could use this fax modem!

I'm retired and would like a link to a Freeware fax programme that can take JPG, DOC, PDF and TXT type files, merge into pages and faxed with a confirmation that it was sent to the destination fax.
