Plug N' Play modem interrupt setting for HP Pavilion 7275Z

In order to connect to MSN Internet, the modem interrupt setting must be higher than 3. When I raised the interrupt setting to 5, the com port setting automatically changed from 2 to 5. As a result, I could not get on-line with AOL. I returned the setting to 3, and was able to get on-line with AOL. What is cure for changing the interrupt setting to accommodate both AOL and MSN?
