Quickplay Doesn't start, but boots Windows

I Uninstalled the Recovery partition in my new dv2000. Now, while I know there is a partition for quickplay, it bypasses straight to Windows. Can one simply uninstall QP and reinstall from somewhere, or is this great feature now lost to me?
