SolutionOffice Button/Save As/Excel 97-2003 Workbook. If you use the features of
Excel 2007 that are not present in Excel 2003 you will have
incompatibilities. Excel will tell you if you have problems when it saves
the file. Just don't use things in Excel 2007 that are not in Excel 2003 and
you should be fine.
Another option is installing the Office 2007 compatibility pack on the oddice 2003
machine.

Re: office excel
I have office 2007. Excel files are saved as "*.XLSX" instead of the normal "*.XLS"
I also have OpenOffice, It does not recognizes the .xlsx files.
Regards.

Re: office excel
OpenOffice is planning to release updates which will be compatible with Office 2007.
The Current one is not compatible for sure.

Re: office excel
You can change the format setting when you click on the Excel Options button to be saved as 97/2003 version.
