Creating a Queue Using TelnetSym
Hi There,
Can anyone let me know how to create a Queue using TelnetSym? I have already started TELNETSYM service using TCPIP$CONFIG.
Thanks & Regards,
Muthuvel.B

Re: Creating a Queue Using TelnetSym
init/que/start/proc=ucx$telnetsym
/on="1.2.3.4:9100"
my_printer
if you are using Ucx 4.any, and replace ucx$telnetsym by tcpip$telnetsym if you are using tcpip 5.any
the 9100 is(usually the port number, but it may be 10001 or any other number, depending on the specifics of the printer/decserver you are using
ps: ignore, the attachment

Re: Creating a Queue Using TelnetSym
Muthuvel,
since you are using TCPI$CONFIG, and not UCX$CONFIG, you will want to replace UVX$TELNETSYM by TCPIP$TELNETSYM in Gerards (labadie's) answer.
And, I would advice using the printers' DNS name instead of IP-address (although the address will function OK)
The port-number 9100 is for HP-printers, for other brands, see their doc.
Of course, add any other queue params as desired.
Proost.
Have one on me.
jpe
