show memory /physical on integrity box
Greetings,
I cannot seem to find an explanation as to why on an integrity box running openvms that the amount of memory listed is just slightly less than the physical memory really on the system. For instance, with 8GB installed the show memory /physical command will show 7.99 GB. Anyone know why this is and if this is documented someplace? Thank you in advance.

Re: show memory /physical on integrity box
Douglas,
some of the physical memory seems to be used by the console, see:
$ ANAL/SYS
SDA> CLUE CONFIG
...
Volker.

Re: show memory /physical on integrity box
Thank you for the reply. I thought that. It could be the console code but when I do the math using the data that clue/config returns the numbers do not seem to work out correctly.
