Warning message: CPU1 VIO WARN
Hi folks,
two weeks ago, one of our ES40 system crashed with a log message, which seems to point to a
memory problem. Now I have the replacement memory,
but at the moment the machine seems to run stable
with the old memory. Only the status monitor shows the following message:
CPU1 VIO WARN
What does it mean? As I mentioned before, the machine seems to run stable with all CPUs.
Thanks & Bye,
Christian

Re: Warning message: CPU1 VIO WARN
Try another CPU module in the failing cpu's slot to see if that fixes it.
If not fixed then the path to the sensing logic on es40 is the likley suspect.
Replacing the pci backplane usually fixes the problem
Btw. an analyze of the binary.errlog via HP support center will give you a clue what must be swapped.
