adding a new tape to my system

i m using tru64 5.1a

i have done a reboot to me system and after that i cant see my tape .

i need a help to define it .
i love life , sea and computers

You could try:

# hwmgr -scan scsi

and then use:

# hwmgr -view device

to see if it found the tape drive. Also, I've noticed that you sometimes have to do the scan scsi a couple of times before it finds the device.
