conntct DLT drive to alpha v0.4 vresion

Hi

I have alpha v4.0 install on my server & DLT drive digital 7000 series is connect to same server .
I wan change that dlt drive with out reboot .
how can i change.

please help me.

Hi,

You should just be able to change the drive. If the SCSI ID of the new drive is the same as that of the old, then everything will be the same as before. You shouldn't need to reboot.

You might need to rescan the SCSI bus using scu.

# scu scan edt

To see what devices you've got connected use:

# scu show edt
