i have ds20. when i boot it, prior to gettin to the srm screen, it displays just the blue screen with the cursor blinking without any output to read. what could be the problem.
all the LEDs on the cpus are ON exept the srom led.
what could be the problem please?

Solutionmight be a bad or disconnected keyboard (or a
change in the "console" setting) that is
causing the system to use a serial port for
the console instead of the graphics console.
I'd try connecting a terminal (or emulator)
to each serial port to see if anything
appears there. (9600 b/s, 8 data bits, 1
stop bit, no parity.)

i have been able now to connect to the console with the setting given above.
and now i can see the srm prompt. now how can i set the console to the vga?

serial port, regardless of the SRM "console"

just to recap. the keyboard port was defective. becoz of that, console was switchin to serial. i have replace the board and now everything is back to normal.
