how to locate "reserved file" display by "vfast -l hotfiles"?
Hi,
how can I find the name of a "reserved file" display by the command
"vfast -l hotfiles domain"?
If got an oracle installation running on a 5.1b system.
Entering
# vfast -l hotfiles oracle_domain
Past Week
IO Count Volume File
28497499 6 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -40, BMT
26314997 4 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -28, BMT
25771848 2 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -16, BMT
16206321 7 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -46, BMT
12531161 8 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -52, BMT
8793732 3 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -22, BMT
8551618 5 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -34, BMT
4062236 3 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -21, LOG
3888081 1 *** a reserved file, tag = -2, -10, BMT
2190124 4 orafs1: /oracle/backup/PROD/rollback.dbf.gz
633563 1 orafs1: tag = 1, 4, quota.user
633562 1 orafs1: tag = 1, 5, quota.group
I'm quite sure, that those files are oracle database files, but how to locate them.
Trying showfile didn't give me the result, but I can guess, which file it "may" be. But to be 100% sure, I'll need a reliable way to find out.
Thanks in advance,
with kind regards

Re: how to locate "reserved file" display by "vfast -l hotfiles"?
Andreas,
my best guess would be that these files belong to the advfs file system.
greetings,
Michael

Re: how to locate "reserved file" display by "vfast -l hotfiles"?
Hi Michael,
no, they must be owned by the oracle instances. (Especially I can't find any of the dbf-Files in the hotfiles list. I only see the compressed ones, which are not open.)
The documentation doesn't give any further description.
