Re: hwmgr in tru64
Here AIT is a hotplug Tape drive. But DAT drive is a internel tape drive. Is it possible to get same SCSI ID for both.
If we remove DAT ,is it possible to get AIT ?
Thanks

Re: hwmgr in tru64
You might start again with some basic
information:
What is the system? ("ES40", I assume, now.)
What are the SCSI adapters in the system?
I see only one:
153: scsi_adapter isp0
154: scsi_bus scsi1
with one device:
209: tape bus-1-targ-6-lun-0 tape7
which appears to be at SCSI ID 6. And it
appears to be the SDT-9000:
209: 11 adbm02 tape none 0 1 tape7 [1/6/0]
WWID:03100032:"SDT-9000 SONY SDT-9000 0003082610"
To which SCSI adapter is each tape drive
connected?
What are the SCSI ID values for each tape
drive?
I see no evidence of a second tape drive.

Well, what happened?

Re: hwmgr in tru64
OK. So you've got an ES40, and you're trying to plug in a hot plug AIT drive, presumably into the internal 6 bay drive cage...
I would sanity check that the drive cage is plugged into a SCSI card.
Cheers,
Rob
