Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

Re: pb with LSM

What version of Tru64 are you using?
What is the real problem you are trying to fix?

"mount -u /" is the old (V4) way to enable write access to / for a single user system. Please try /sbin/mountroot

There may be a problem with the /etc/vol/volboot file.
Check out the following (V4) document on potential recovery path:

Re: pb with LSM

try to run bcheckrc and if u want to start lsm only use lsmbstartup(this would start LSM).
If still u face problem boot from CD start LSM manually and fix your problem.
I am in this small bowl, I wane see the real world......
