Hi.
We have a 2-nodes cluster Tru64.
As an Oracle DBA, I would run the export scripte node with lower workload.
What commands and/or parameters can I use in order to evaluate system workload?
I should have a condition that I must include in the crontab entry or sheel script.
Thanks.
Giuseppe

SolutionFor the system perspective "Collect" is the way to go. Google for details.
Add +tru64 +site:itrc.hp.com to a google search string for details on collect from this forum.
You also want to activate statspack and take at least 3 snaps/day. Suggested times - right after main business hours start - after they stop - after end of day processing - before nightly jobs - after jobs. You may want to add snaps around a peak hour or 1/2 hour. Maybe 9:30am - 10:00am?
By collecting that data 'all the time' you will be able to trend it and appreciate better if/when a real problem comes up.
Hth,
hein.
