7200i cd-r/rw error's

I have had my 7200i for about a year and a half , in the past week I have created about 1 dozen coasters with it, I have reinstalled everything.....including os.
I would appreciate any help with this
that Plextor writer is starting to look pretty good now

Hmm, I too have just started having these problems. I am very disappointed since I paid extra for the HP brand thinking I was purchasing a reliable product. Having only used the burner to burn less than 100 cds I think that the failure, like others is very premature.
