PXE Server @ HP Insight Control Server Provisioning

Hi community,

does HP Insight Control Server Provisioning have an PXE Server?

I'am creating a PXE boot image file and want to mount "net use y: \\<PXEServer>\TFTPRoot"

But I cannot reach the pxe server by entering the ip of our ICSP appliance.

Does ICSP support a PXE server? Is there one integrated?

Thanks and happy weekend

Danny

Yes, IC server provisioning has a PXE server.  The appliance does not work with a remote PXE server.

Well, technically, the appliance does not have a PXE server. It has a TFTP server that is used to serve the PXE files, and the target servers know to go there through options provided from the DHCP server.

The appliance can be a DHCP server, and it will automatically provide the boot information, or an external DHCP server can be configured with the appropriate settings.

There is no PXE server in the sense that RDP had where it will work in tandem with an external DHCP server. That functionality is planned.
