220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure

Hi

I have a Proliant DL76oG2, We get the following error:

POST Error: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure -----ACTION---- Contact Service 9/30/2006 9:53PM 9/30/2006 9:53PM 1

3 POST Error: A Critical Error occurred prior to this power-up 9/30/2006 9:53PM 9/30/2006 9:53PM 1

4 ASR Detected by System ROM 9/30/2006 9:52PM 9/30/2006 9:52PM 1

5 Accelerator Cache Memory Parity Error (Socket 1) 9/30/2006 9:48PM 9/30/2006 9:48PM 1

6 Processor Correctable error threshold exceeded (Slot 2, Socket 1)

We have contact HP to explain the problem and they have sent a replacement the 278466-001(Processor Memory Module), but after install the replacement we continue geting the same problem

We have checked the Forums and we found http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=808351&admit=-682735245+1160558474250+28353475

But they do not provide a solution

Re: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure

Hi Sejo,

Try replace the system mid-plane with Spares #316747-001 and check if that helps.

Re: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure

Hi Sejo,

Try one of the following options:

1. F9 during bootup and set cache accelerator corrected
2. Clear NVRAM and check.

If it gives the error again, replace cache module

Hope this answers!!!!

Re: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure

i had a dl740 g1 with the same problem, i went into the bios, marked the set cache accelerator corrected (went from red highlight to black or blue, not sure cuz i went via ilo) and cleared nvram and it worked. no more post error and this also fixed systems management homepage (it didn't show any items and gave me errors when i logged in and browsed around), now i can see all items in the systems management homepage and no errors, one note is that the IML got cleared from doing (i am guessing) clearing the nvram.
