I have a second CPU that I would like to install in a Proliant 1600. I have
installed a 2nd Processor Power Module, the 2nd CPU and set the Processor Swithes to the proper configuration for 500MHz but I get a "178-Processor Configuration Invalid" error. I am running the latest BIOS. Any ideas?

Solution
Jason:
Pull both processors if you need to, but, make sure both processors are the same Stepping.
If they are, run the System Configuration from your Smart Start CD or use the diskette version here:

Re: 2nd CPU in Proliant 1600
I'm all set. I downloaded and ran the SCU and the error is gone. Thanks for your help!
