4TB disks with Proliant DL160 G6

Hi, all. Can anybody help me? I have a Proliant DL160 G6 server. In past there was a storage included 2*500GB disks in raid 1, and 2*2TB disks in raid 1. Now I've tried to change 2TB to 4TB disks, but raid controller detects new disks only as 2TB. Is there any chance to work with full capacity of new disks?

Re: 4TB disks with Proliant DL160 G6

Bad news... From the DL160 G6 quickspecs:
"NOTE: HP Smart Array B110i does not support greater than 2TB hard drive"

It must have to do with the change to advanced format 4K sector sizes for drives greater than 2TB.

You could swap out the smaller drives with these new ones... you'd only be able to use 2TB of them but it's a step up from the pair of 500GB drives.

Thanks for reply. I 've ordered Adaptec 2405 and it solved the problem.
