Can display server information from HP management Home Page
I have just setup a HP ProLiant ML370 T05 server with Windows 2003 Standard R2 installed.
I am using the Smart Start CD 7.6 to install and try to update the SP to latest version downloaded from the net. However, the server status can not be displayed even the model can not be displayed.
Is there anyone know how I can fix the problem?
Thanks,
Raymond Cheung

Re: Can display server information from HP management Home Page
Ray1224,
Upgrade system ROM to latest version.
If no result; remove smhp, Remove agents, remove snmp, reinstall snmp, reinstall agents, reinstall smhp (first try to 7.xx version, if ok, try to upgrade to the 8.xx smhp version)

Re: Can display server information from HP management Home Page
Do you have SNMP Installed? If not, you'll need to install SNMP before anything else.
My setup recommendation:
Traps Tab
Your Company Community Name (public)
Trap Destinations: 127.0.0.1 and any other SNMPTRAP catcher you have.
Security Tab:
Your Company Accepted Community names (ex: public)
Either Accept SNMP packets from any host or
Accept SNMP Packs from these hosts. If you select this option, be sure to include locahost, 127.0.0.1 and the servername. Also, if you have SIM running, include this server as well.
