Can't install NT Server
Trying to install NT 4,
* Ran SBSU, set OS to NT
* Ran SmartStart, generated NT 4 5-disk driver set
* Ran WinNT setup
* Got to the point where you specify additional mass storage device drivers, tried everything
* The "ATA-100 Integrated UDMA Controller" took.
* Press ENTER to proceeded from the Select additional mass storage screen
* Got a big fat "No hard disks detected"
Just to verify, tried installing win2k client, and it's installer saw the drives just fine (except I need NT 4 on that box).
The two drives are Maxtor 80gig UDMA's (is there something I don't know about max disk size in NT4?)
RELP!!!

Re: Can't install NT Server
You're not the only one having this problem... I'm trying to install NT4 Workstation and i get the same problem as well... i did everything like you did, except i selected 'other' under the OS category since the SmartStart has only NT4 Server...
Something tells me that CPQ's driver isn't really working with NT4. *sigh*

Re: Can't install NT Server
I got the same problem exactly, but with a compaq ultra wide 2 SCSI drive,
I have solved the problem of the : "No hard disk detected" by running a low level
format on the drive, but now I have a new problem, after Win NT copys files to
the drive and make it first boot, I get an "Missing Operating System" massage
when trying to boot from C:\, I really don't Know what else to do,
if anyone has any idea please HELP!!!!.
