Cisco Nexus 5596 - HP SFP compatibility

Hi, I've a HP DL380, and looking to install a couple of 665249-B21 HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560SFP+ Adapter cards to get me up to 10GB connectivity. The switch they'll be connected to will be a cisco nexus 5596. Is there a compatibility matrix anywhere for SPF's compatible the 10GB card, and the switch? Could i potentially install a HP SPF that isnt compatible with the Nexus? Any help would be much Appreciated

The regular rule is that the PCI card does not have any vendor lockdowns and will accept all standard SFP modules.
So you buy GBICs or DAC cables according to your switch vendors approved accessories.

That is: Buy Cisco Nexus compatible cables and ignore that you have a HP server and nic card.

I also checked with HPE options experts and this is the answer:

Correct, the nexus will look for a Cisco cable. Our NIC will not care one way or the other.

If you have any issues - please let us know.
