Citrix XPa, Drive Remapping and an ML370 G3
I have two of the above servers and have installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and all the latest Compaq/Hp stuff. When attempting to remap the drives from C: and D: to M: and N: using the Citrix app the server has the following problems:
1. It takes several minutes to load the desktop after logging in
2. Internet explorer is currupted and won't load
3. Windows Help is corrupted
4. Windows Installer is currupted (even service pack won't install)
5. Perlib errors in event log relating to Perfdisk
This has happened on two identical servers now and can be reversed by restoring the orginal drive mappings. Any ideas anyone?

Re: Citrix XPa, Drive Remapping and an ML370 G3
Try using Windows 2000 SP2. SP3 has had a few bugs reported when used with Citrix. I'm not sure if Citrix has released any patches for these problems though.

Re: Citrix XPa, Drive Remapping and an ML370 G3
I have found the problem now. It was actually software called PowerChute for monitoring APC UPSs which was causing the bizarre problems - still don't know why, but if it is uninstalled the drive remapping works as it should.
Thanks anyway :)
