Clock accuracy of DL360 Gen8 when NTP is free-running mode
Hello, Community
Could you please suggest that what is clock accuracy of DL360 gen8 when the NTP is free-running mode?
Otherwise, how can I check the accuracy? Is it described on some documentation?
Thanks for your help

Re: Clock accuracy of DL360 Gen8 when NTP is free-running mode
Hi,
The RTC accuracy is +/-2 seconds per day. Most HP servers have same or similar RTC accuracy.
Do refer to the below link for:
Crystal Considerations with Maxim Real-Time Clocks (RTCs)
http://www.maximintegrated.com/app-notes/index.mvp/id/58
Note: It is not expected that the server hardware clock would be considered an accurate time keeping device. The end-user should use NTP server or synchronize with an atomic clock more frequently.
Thanks.

This program will write to a notepad file if you are interested in seeing any errors.
Also, if you are interested in reducing the delay and use a cheap atomic clock, use a GPS with a serial output.
All HP ISS Servers conform to the NTP standards (essentially sub-second accuracy)
