Could not be authenticated as genuine HP SmartMemory
Recently, we help customer to add 96 GB of memory to her exisitng DL380 G8 server (which already has 96 GB). It appeared normal after installation (from BIOS and OS level). After that we receive the following alert from iLO : "HPE iLO AlertMail-000: (INFO) POST Information: Processor X, DIMM Y could not be authenticated as genuine HP SmartMemory. Enhanced and extended HP SmartMemory features will not be active.'
Would someone please explain what does it mean in general ? We are sure the RAM package is from HP.
By default, how often will that be sent ? Once during sever start up ?
Searched G8 Toubleshooting guide (https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03257154) but cannot find that alert message.
However, G9 Trouleshooting guide (https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c04443553) has that alert message.

Re: Could not be authenticated as genuine HP SmartMemory
hi @SL2018 maybe you[re using old memories , or memories from G7 servers ,
call to HPE CSC select compute servers support , provide the AHS log for the Enginner , he will check the facture date for this memory and if its possible provide some pics from your memory part number .
thank[s.
