Re: DL 380 G5 E200 Array Controller

Sounds like you had too many drive failures, and the data may be lost.
Or it could be the backplane in the drive cage.
Or the array cont itself...

How many drives do you have and how were they setup?
What arrays etc...?

Re: DL 380 G5 E200 Array Controller

I am a HP-UX guy new to Proliant machines, they have 3 drives. Not sure of the RAID level. However, LEDs on the disks are green.

Checked Array Configuration, It has two logical drives. Its showing me, RAID5 and RAID0. It appears RAID corruption.

Re: DL 380 G5 E200 Array Controller

Ok well you cant have RAID 5 AND a RAID 0 array with only 3 drives, its impossible!
You need 3 drives MINIMUM for RAID5.

It could be worth replacing the array controller first.
The array data is stored both on the disks AND the array controller.
Try to replace with one of the same model.
If you cant do that, one from the same series should be ok.

Also try replacing the backplane of the drive cage.
Sounds like that may be the prob if its reporting drives failed in bays 1 2 3 and 4!

If it IS all the drives failed, then I'm afraid you've probably lost everything...

Thanks
Mark...
