DL140 SCSI Model

Hello -

I just purchased a DL140 with two SCSI Ultra 320 36.4 GB hard drives.

I am having a heck of a time getting the server to recognize the drives. At boot, it find the SCSI HBA (LSI 1030) as is assigned to SCSI ID7.

I have checked and rechecked the drive jumper settings.

Does anybody have an actual jumper guide for the 36.4 GB Ultra 320 15K non pluggable hard drive? I am going off of the label on the drive...

Also, any ideas?

Thanks!
Joe

Re: DL140 SCSI Model

What is the model # of the drive? Also most jumpers are located at the back of the drive near the power connection. No jumper means scsi id 1 and the jumper over the first set of pins is usually id 2. If you find the model number go to HP's site and do a search. Then you may find the jumper guide .pdf file.

Re: DL140 SCSI Model

Model # of the drive is BF03698578
Part # of the drive is 365699-004

What is weird even with no jumpers on, it does not show up as a drive when it goes through the LSI 1030 Bios...
