Anyone here have experience this issues before? I'm already upgraded to latest firmware but still no go.
Noticed that under the ROM-based Setup Utility.
Under > Main
IPMI 2.0 Configuration
>Status Of BMC "Not Working"
>BMC Firmware Revision "blank"
>BMC/IPMI FW Date: "blank"
>BMC SDR Version: X.XX.XX.XXX
>Warehouse Build Number:XXX
Anyone got any idea how to put back the BMC firmware? please advice. thanks

Re: DL160 G5 - 601 BMC Not Responding
Thanks for the replied, i managed to solve the problem by installing 1 more memory.
Problem: System Can't boot-up
Action Taken:
1. Replaced system board, can't resolved.
2. System installed 2x 2gb memory, so i by-pass 1 memory also unable to re-solved, end-up i found is both memory are faulty.(cause i bring another new spare memory)
3. After installed the new spare memory, found the 601- BMC Not responding message.
4. I upgraded new BIOS firmware - success, but BMC error still there.
5. I upgraded Update Lights-Out 100 firmware version - failed to upgraded
6. I get another new memory and installed and the BMC firmware managed to restore and working fine now.
PS: Meaning to say that this Proliant DL160 G6 can't work IF just installed 1 memory because it'll showed 601 - BMC not responding error? Can anyone clarify this?
Thanks
Regards,
Jason

Re: DL160 G5 - 601 BMC Not Responding
Hi guys, im having the same issue.
If i unplug the keyboard it will get to windows alone.
if there is a keboard pluged it will get stuck and BMC error, press F1.
i'm ok with that, the problem is, all all the fans are running al 100% and its way too loud...
All of this happened, after i added a second CPU, and dindt have a 3rd fan installed, so a built a jumper and place it in pin 2 and 3 fo the 6 pin fan connector, like i found fan n3 connector (with a jumper.) this is how the server arrived.
I've tried to reset Jumper 8, BMC manager, like the manual said with no luck.
I wanted to re flash all FW, but i cant find any, would you be so kind to upload it to any cloud storage ?
Thanks

Re: DL160 G5 - 601 BMC Not Responding
Hi guy, is there any posibillity that, anyonw could upload the firmwares to a direct link ?
i've been fighting with this issue for days, and i cant manage to doanload the BMC firmware, original or new, nor bios firmware to try a downgrade or somthing...
i'm running this server with fans connected to molex and not to the motherboard, cos they are stuck at 100% and i get error 601 everytime i reboot the proliant.
