I have an older 380 G2 (DL380R02) that I would like to upgrade to a dual processor configuration. It currently has a single P3 1.2Mhz processor and I want to add another one. Other than the processor and the heatsink, what will I need to get to accomplish this? Will I need to change out the PPM? Thanks for any help you can give!

Re: DL380 G2 upgrade to dual processors?
Thanks!
I work with a pretty limited budget, and this server is doing duty as a SQL server for one of our busier websites. The programmers are convinced that dual proc's will speed things up for them, and the boss won't OK a new box, so upgrading is my only choice to keep everyone happy!

Re: DL380 G2 upgrade to dual processors?
Sure, in that case, I would also recommend a memory upgrade, if you can squeeze it into the budget.
