DL380G9 shutdown error = NMI: Channel Check / IOCHK
Dear all,
Each time i "Shutdown" from windows session , after the shutdown message, a front face LED turn into red and blue screen displays:
*** Hardware malfunction
Call your harware vendor for support
NMI: Channel Check / IOCHK
*** The system has halted ***
Windows seems to be terminated correctly because at the following reboot no error or warning message appears.
Note : If select Windows "Restart" does not give the error.
Do HP engineers or anybody have experience on this trouble ?
Thanks to all
David

Re: DL380G9 shutdown error = NMI: Channel Check / IOCHK
Here is the solution:
Install this fix and your problem is solved.
http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_1786e42281714355bf56d35961#tab1
This component installs a Registry change to fix a fatal Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) during shutdown and power-off of systems supporting the Intel C220 and C610 Series Platform Controller Hub SATA controllers in AHCI mode.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
