DL385G5p- Smartstart does not function w/ 64GB of RAM
Greetings,
I have a DL385g5p with 2 CPUs and 64GB of RAM installed. I am attempting to run SmartStrat 8.60 (64bit ver) and I am recieving a 403 forbidden message when I attempt to run the Maintanence portion. If I back the memory down to 32GB it functions. Memory sticks are 4GB each. Any thoughts as to what the cause might be?
Thanks

Re: DL385G5p- Smartstart does not function w/ 64GB of RAM
Hi There,
this issue was observed with the previous version of smartstart and new smartstart does not have this issue.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01554945тМй=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodSeriesId=428936&prodTypeId=15351
Make sure you have latest system bios and there isn't any external storage or third party devices connected.
as a workaround try this:
From the first graphical screen, press the ESC key.
Choose to enter text mode.
At the prompt, type "sos mem=4G" and press the ENTER key.
try with previous version of Smartstart to see if it helps,
thanks,
Aftab

Re: DL385G5p- Smartstart does not function w/ 64GB of RAM
Sounds like driver / firmware conflicts. Did you upgrade the firmware before you did Smartstart?
