DL580 G3 smart array 6i Windows 2003 problem
The problem is now that in Windows 2003 the 6i controller is still showing as a device (see attachment). If I uninstall it and reboot it re-appears ├в with the message ├в This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use├в
The server is running the latest firmware and SSD - 7.51.
Does anyone know how to remove the 6i device from device manager permanently?

Re: DL580 G3 smart array 6i Windows 2003 problem
As you are facing problem with the resource allocation, you can try the following option.
1. Disconnect all the storage devices connected to the server (Including Internal Drives)
2. Change the status of Sw6 in System Maintenance Switch (ON)
3. Power ON the server for 10-15 Sec.
4. Turn off the server and set the switch to Normal (OFF)
5. Connect the drives back and power ON the server.

Re: DL580 G3 smart array 6i Windows 2003 problem
I initially gave that a try but to no avail. I think it's most likely a firmware bug as I have already disabled the 6i controller in the BIOS, yet 2003 is still picking it up.
We have other 3 other DL580 G3 servers experiencing the exact same problem.
