DL580 G5 Array setup
Hello,
I was looking into a DL580 G5 but wanted to make sure that if I filled up all 16 HDD slots that I will be able to create a single array. Since they are all internal I would think you could (was thinking a P800 would be needed).
Anyone out there have a similar setup by chance?

Re: DL580 G5 Array setup
hi JustinK
you can not create a whole RAID with all 16 HDDs, you need an optional controller...which means you wil be able to create to different RAIDs
it states in the specs
"Internal SAS backplane supports up to eight SFF hard disk drives.
Optional second SAS backplane supports additional eight SFF hard drives"
