DL580 Memory Board Problem

I just reallocated a used DL580 G2 to my service. When powering the system up I got no video and after about 30 seconds I get a series of long beeps. All the lights on memory board 2 were flashing orange. Through some troubleshooting I've been able to get it to boot with memory board 1 inserted and populated with 16G of RAM. When I install memory board 2 with or without RAM the system won't POST, no video, and long single beep again, plus it then flashes all the lights on memory board 1 orange. Remove the empty or full memory board 2 and the system will boot just fine no errors. I have several new memory boards that I will be trying but wanted to see if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

Bill

Also, I've done disaster recovery mode, erased NVRAM and have updated all to the latest firmware.

Re: DL580 Memory Board Problem

Hi Bill,

It's most likely that your server memory board 2 is faulty.
