Dl140 G2 - Unable to upgrade the Lights-Out 100i firmware.

I'm having an hard time trying to update the firmware of the iLO. I'm trying to upgrade to version 1.25, and it won't let me. My OS's are: WIndows 2003 Enterprise R2 x64 & x86. I get the following errors:

When I run SP33955.exe on my x64 system, it says: "The image is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine".

When I run SP33955.exe on my x86 system, it says: "NTVDM encountered a hard error".

Can someone please help me?

Thank you for your time.

Try with the Firmware Diskette and perform the installation offline, just follow the installation instructions to create a floopy diskete with the udpate.

Firmware Upgrade Diskette for HP ProLiant DL140 G2 Lights-Out 100i Remote Management

Installation:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on a system running Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, or Microsoft Windows XP and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP33955.EXE.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded SoftPaq file:
SPxxxxx [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive
to create diskette.

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file if you wish.

5. Insert this diskette into the diskette drive of the system to be updated.
If it's not fun, you're not doing it right
