FAILED TO BOOT

HP SA532 Controller failed to come up with win2KS after i replaced the Power Supply unit. If i boot with the Smart Start i can get this information
#785 Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on logical drive 1 ( RAID 5 in array A). If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve.
Any idea.

Re: FAILED TO BOOT

Sure, When background parity intialization completes, the system starts performing with it's full resources. But in your case, I'm not able to understand whether you have re configured your SA volume, or it has failed on it's own. post some more details.

Re: FAILED TO BOOT

Fuul story: The Compaq ML310 had PSU dead and i moved the 4 H.drives + HP SA to another ML310. I decided to move the HDDs coz this is second time in one month the PSU fails without blowing out its fuse. The machine seem to test the controller okay and on its BIOS i can read the two logical drive that are okay. I trie to boot with the Smart Start and performed the diagnosis-the phsical disks are okay except that msg #785.
Now tell me something.
