Firmware CD 8.30-0 Issue

I have downloaded the firmware .iso file and extracted it to a DVD.

How the do you access the DVD offline to install the firmware.

The server is ML350 G5 and we are getting the BSOD stop error: 0x000000D1. After researching the problem we came have come to the conclusion that its linked to http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01068337&dimid and the array controller.

Unfortantly we dont have any OS installed on it as this is a brand new server and we cannot get past this BSOD.

The firmware CD is bootable. Just boot it, and follow the onscreen prompts.

Tried doing that and it did not boot

try using a CD not a DVD

Also tired making it just a CDROM and that did not work.

What do you mean with extracted it to DVD.

You need to burn the iso file to a CD with burning app. that supports "write image to CD" for example imgburn that is a free applikation. Then it will be bootable..
