HP DL585-G7 NOT POWER ON - LED STATUS No LED except health green

Hi team,

I have HP DL585-G7 server gone to not power ON state.

1.  I replaced the 1.PCI xpress motherboard 2.Power backplane 3.Power supply 4. SPI board.

2. But no luck. i can only see the error code on Base board "88" {note previous it was "EE" after change base board it changed to "88"}

3. I already tried CMOS battery clear and NVRAM clear through system mangement switch.

Can any one help

Hi  Circlesoccer,

In My Case I found a issue in System That,

1. System base board 

2. CPU and DIMM board 

By swap components one by one into another working server. So i observed couple of things which 

may  help you to find the issue.

Symptom-1 : NO AMBER -SERVER NOT BOOT- ERROR CODE 88    - system Base board problem

Symptom-2:  AMBER solid glow- SERVER NOT BOOT- ERROR CODE 33 - System Base board problem

Symptom-3:  AMBER solid glow- SERVER NOT BOOT- ERROR CODE 00 88 - Clear NVRAM or CMOS

Option-1

Remove the power supply units and swap them.

Test to see if the system will boot...

If that doesn't work:

Option-2

1. Remove all power supplies from the chassis
2. Locate the System Maintenance Switchon the motherboard - It's a set of 10 DIP switches.
3. Turn switch #6 switch on.
4. Insert all power supply units.
5. Power on the server and allow it to idle for 3 minutes.
6. Power the server off.
7. Remove all power supplies.
8. Return DIP switch #6 to off (original) position.
9. Reinsert the power supplies.

Some Obervations

1.Power the server on 1.Display will come after 3 to 4 min So we need to wait until server come up.
2.Press server ON button, Server will react immediately.
3.Server not power-ON issue.Need to replace four power supply in same time. Then Only server will react some output.
