How to find firmware on dl 380 servers
I am at areal fix. How do i fin the firmware version on my dl 380 servers. Is there a command line utility or something that will tell me that. I know the lastest firmware is around 9.1c. But I am troubleshooting some of my old servers and I need this info . Thanks

Re: How to find firmware on dl 380 servers
If you run a survey for each server you will find the firmware versions for each item in the server, except for the NIC firmware, I believe.
This can be run from the gui or from the command line, depending on the OS you have installed. If you are running it from the command line here are the methods for Linux and Windows:
Linux
Change to the /opt/hp/hpdiags directory and run
./hpdiags -v 5
Windows
Change to the C:\hp\hpdiags directory and run:
hpdiags.exe -v 5
V indicates the verbosity level and 5 indicates to provide the max.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
