hello everyone.
We have an oldie (but stll going strong) ML530G2, I recently downloaded a smartstart CD for our DL360 & 380's but I cant use it on the 530.
I've searched but cant seem to find an SS cd for it.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

SolutionHi There,
here is the link for support smartstart CD for ML530 G2 server
Type: Software - CD-ROM Version: 8.25 (11 May 2009) File name: smartstart-8.25-0-x86.zip (539 MB)
However, If you are looking for driver update within windows 2003, I would suggest to update the proliant support pack
Type: Software - Support Pack Version: 8.25 (A) (6 May 2009) Operating System(s): Microsoft Windows Server 2003
hope this helps,
thanks
Aftab

Re: I have an ML530 G2 with Win2003 installed, is there a smartstart dl to update drivers and such?!
thank you for the links.
If you can clarify, I know that the smartstart CD is what it's used to deploy a brand new server, you boot up from it and go from there.
The PSP is only for driver and firmware updates that are currently available.
Does the latest smartstart ALSO have the latest drivers/firmwares or only the HP management software that installs when you first deploy a server?
Thank you once again.

Re: I have an ML530 G2 with Win2003 installed, is there a smartstart dl to update drivers and such?!
Hi Cesar,
Smart start does include the latest drivers.
If this is a new deployment then setup the server with smartstart which would install all the drivers came along with it, then check for individual drivers or proliant support if they are released after the smartstart CD.
So driver and agents released after the smartstart release date would not be included in the smartstart CD.
hope this clarifies...
thanks
