Local drive expansion DL380 Gen10 Server

I want to add another drive cage to my existing Proliant DL380 Gen 10 server to support adding 8 more SFF SAS drives.  This drive cage would go into bay 2.  The cage part number is 826691-B21.  Can I connect this into the existing controller which is a HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 controller.

Hi chillia,

the  P408i have only Connector for one Drive Bay.

You have to add a SAS Expander to connect the second Drive Bay, or connect it to a Second Controller.
