Lossing Networkconnection!

We have problems with our network connection on this machine. From time to time the
connection is lost. Sometimes the connection is reastablished and sometimes a reboot is
necessary.

We have replaced the network adapter two times and even placed the adapter in a different
slot. We also replaced the network cables and tried to plug the machine directly to the
network switch. But it didn't solve the problem.

Beneath you will find the alerts we get in the event viewer of the machine:

The device driver, N1002, reported a warning: Network Adapter Link Down (Slot 3, Port 2).

N1002 : PROBLEM: Link lost. ACTION: Check network cable.

System Information Insight Agent: Compaq Health: Hot Plug Board power up failed
Chassis: 0; Slot 3.

What could be wrong?
