ML110 Gen9 with H240 ,only pci-e 1.0 x8 (2Gbps) ,not Pci-e 3.0 (8Gbps) in Negotiated PCIe Data Rate
I have question about ML110 Gen9 server, I add two PCI-E card, one is H240 for HBA for HDD cage, other is PCI-E nvme card with m2 SSD. I find both them only get PCI-E 1.0 я╝ИGen1я╝Йnegotiated? why not get pci-e 3.0я╝ИGen3 я╝Й mode ?
I read the parameter from esxi hassp tool
/opt/smartstorageadmin/ssacli/bin/ssacli ctrl slot=1 show detail

But in iLO page , it show both slot are Gen3

Re: ML110 Gen9 with H240 ,only pci-e 1.0 x8 (2Gbps) ,not Pci-e 3.0 (8Gbps) in Negotiated PCIe Data R
you missed point.
The HPE H240 HBA card don't get pci-e Gen3 x8 speed, only PCI-E 1.0 x8. also as PCI_E card.
Hardware spec is say ML110 Gen9 and Intel 2650L v4,H240 card all support PCI_E Gen3. why HPE own H240 card and own ML110 motherboard doesn't negotiate Gen3 mode ?
