ML350 G1 Startup Issue

I have a ML350 G1 that does not boot normally if it is turned off for an extended period of time. In those instances, the power supply will come on for approximately 2 seconds then go off and back on again repeatedly.

I first thought the power supply was bad but later discovered that if I just leave it alone , cycling on and off, it will eventually boot and operate normally.

any ideas on what might be causing this behavior?

Hi Cliff,

Both of the power supply models for the ML350 G1 had issues. The earlier 600-900Mhz systems used PSU part number 163346-001 and the later 1Ghz models used PSU part number 216108-001. They both have problem histories so I think this behaviour will probably be caused by the power supply.
