MSSQL on DL380 screen refreshes slowly

I have a DELL PowerEdge1400, 2 GB ram, 1 GHz, 3x36GB (raid5) with MSSQL2000/SP3 under Windows2000 Std. The Database which is running on it, works fine. Since I will only use HP servers, I wanted to migrate the software on a DL380 G4, 4GB ram, 3,6 GHz, 2x146 (raid 1). Now when a user connects himself to the database and displayes the records - which means several records from different tables in one screen, the screen refreshes like a slow scroll-down wherever it flushes very fast on the DELL engine. Therefore I installed it also on a absolutely new DL380 G5: the same effect. I have also changed the OS from W2k to W2k3: no effect. I also have installed the database on severeal other older systems (IBM Netfinity, virtual Server on HP EVOD51C) The screen refresh is always ok.
