P410 / raid 5 on DL 180 not possible

I receive new DL 180 G6 with 8 drives SATA 500 GB
+ P410 controller .
On Bios controller , it's not possible to configure raid group in level 5 with 3 or more drive. Only raid 1 or 0 !
The end-user would like to have raid 1 on system
disk (2 drives) and raid 5 on Data drive .
Could explain with i don't see raid 5 option?

Thanks

Which controller do you see in the BIOS? If you see the embedded B110i controller, your disks are still connected to it and need to be connected over to the P410.

If you see the P410 controller, you probably have the "zero memory" option for the P410 raid controller. Or the battery may not be connected or fully charged yet. The server specs show that the P410 comes with 256MB

Check the details of the P410 controller.

Could you send Part number to buy only cache module for this controller
because i don't see only 256MB , I see 512 BBWC

I would like to buy this option in France

Look at the screen in the boot process for the p410i initialsation sequence, Does it report 256 mb of cache?

Verify that the P410 has the cache option and it is installed and connected. 256MB or 512MB are sufficient to allow you to use raid5.
Also verify that you are looking at the P410 controller and not the B110i. Since you will not be using the B110i controller, disable it in the BIOS (RBSU).
