Are the PCI risers in the G3 and G4 versions of this server interchangeable. The PCI slot configuration is not the same, and I need the G4 configuration in the G3. I would like to replace the riser in the G3 with the same riser that is in the G4, but would like to know if this will work before any money is spent. Any assistance is appreciated.

Re: PCI Risers in ProLiant Servers (DL380 G3 and G4)
Thanks for the response. I think I may need to clarify my question somewhat. The backplane in the risers are different and the slot configurations are different, with the G4 riser having PCI-E available. Is the riser incompatible, or can I replace the G3 riser with a G4 riser, or will this not work due to incompatibility. The risers appear to be physically identical with regard to the edge connectors, hardware, etc.
