good afternoon,
if I decided to use operating systems different from the microsoft ones, for instance Linux or Unix, and therefore MySql or FreeSB type database, would servers equally work?

You can Select the OS listed & then the Servers;

The OS listed are the one which HP have tested & verified for its Servers; Where all the necessary performance requisites are met;

Any OS thats not listed, would mean, HP has not Verified its Compatibility with its Hardware;

However, You may install them & it may work; But having said that, the Performance MAY differ from that specified;

Choice is yours !!
