Proliant DL 380 G4 and Windows XP

We have a requirement to run XP on this server if possible. I realise it is not officially supported but could anyone offer any pointers as to how to get xp to install.

Look for drivers for the scsi controller and press F6 when prompted.

XP is not certified for DL380G4 server. You may face problem with drivers. However you may give a try.

I remember having installed XP on 2 G3's once. I think G4 will work just as well. In spite of what people think, XP and 2003 are largely the same on technology level. 2003, at least in more advanced versions, will give you more enterprise style options like large memory support and more than 2 CPUs. All 2003 Proliant drivers I've used so far, work on XP as well.
